Major Upgrades to the Bandera WiFi!

Our beautiful resort in the Texas Hill Country offers an escape from the world and a chance to slow down. Unfortunately, that also meant slower WiFi speeds, which were dependent upon satellite dishes. Despite our best efforts, this only allowed internet speeds of 4 to 5 Mbps, and even less during times of heavy occupancy.

No longer! Your Bandera resort’s WiFi is now provided through a Fiber Optic cable. This required an extensive process of running the cable underground from Highway 16, which is two miles from the resort. The result? WiFi speeds have gone from an average of 4 to 5 Mbps to between 40 to 50 Mbps! And it’s only going to get better, as we update our UniFi Access Points to better utilize the new Fiber Optic.

So if you happen to see smoke coming from your laptop… it isn’t your computer, but the smokin’ fast new WiFi!

Daytona: The Magic of Lights!

Beginning November 13th, the Daytona International Speedway will once again transform into a holiday wonderland! The Magic of Lights at the Daytona International Speedway is a drive-through event running through January 2nd and features over one million lights. The drive-through is open from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (and from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. November 26th-29th). This unique event is celebrating its 4th year in a row. Come drive behind the Ticket and Tours building, through the state-of-the-art motorsports facility and conclude in the Midway display area outside the facility. Pre-sale offers are available now! If you’ll be attending on a Tuesday, one ticket will allow you to drive through twice. Find all the details here!
